Our Menus

The Laughing Seed invites you to experience our summer menu. We are excited about several seasonal entrees that are light and flavorful – perfect for the warmer months. We continue to broaden our culinary scope to include even more of our favorite flavors from around the world and to utilize the seasonal organic vegetables coming to us from various regional growers. We are pleased to feature other fantastic local products as well, including cheeses from Three Graces Dairy, bread from Annie’s Bakery and Eat More Bakery, tempeh from Smiling Hara, mustard from Lusty Monk, kombucha by Buchi, and a variety of ales from Green Man, to name just a few. Of course, many of our finest menu items are housemade. We’re now even baking our burger buns, focaccia, pita, and specialty breads in house.

Global fusion is very much alive at the Laughing Seed. Dine with us, and you can experience the fresh, complex tastes of Thailand, as well as the simple, but intensely satisfying, flavors of the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Sunflower seed pesto and cashew nut ricotta form a deliciously satisfying filling for our raw Spinach Pesto Manicotti. Our sushi offering changes nightly, as do our pasta specials and authentic Indian thali plates. And nothing comforts like our classic Harmony Bowl, Tempeh Reuben, or Tico Burrito. In addition to preserving our guest favorites, we’ve added several new dishes to our summer menu. Our Blackened Portobello, Eggplant Parmesan, Pasta Primavera, and Beer-Battered Avocado Tacos are sure to quickly become your new craving items.

Our new dessert menu is light, but decadently delicious, featuring several gluten free and vegan options created by pastry chefs, Jericho and Kelley. Don’t miss our raw, vegan, gluten-free cheesecake and Mint Chocolate Macaroons. With ice cream and sorbet from The Hop, there is bound to be something on the menu to satisfy your summer sweet tooth!

With a menu that includes vegan, raw, and gluten-free options, all healthful, freshly prepared, and delicious, there is truly something for everyone at Laughing Seed! We invite you to come and taste our revolutionary vegetarian cuisine, which has been crafted with the utmost care and respect for the culinary traditions that inspire us. Fluffy pancakes filled with seasonal fruit and topped with pomegranate-port butter, walnuts, and 100% maple syrup

Belgian Waffles $8
Seasonal fruit compote with cinnamon-vanilla butter, walnuts, and 100% maple syrup

Sooner Sunday (V) $7
Sample just about everything: creamy grits, housemade seitan sausage, organic tofu Florentine, sautéed spinach, rosemary potatoes, and guacamole; drizzled with vegan sausage gravy

Tempeh & Root Hash (V) $10
Roasted sweet potatoes, parsnips, and butternut squash tossed with baked organic tempeh, housemade seitan sausage, and red onions; served over creamy grits with grilled asparagus and vegan béarnaise

Blue Plate (V option) $10
Your choice of scrambled eggs or organic tofu Florentine, rosemary-roasted potatoes, housemade seitan sausage, scratch-made biscuit, and buttermilk or vegan country gravy

Huevos Rancheros (V option, GFI option) $10
Smashed black beans, scrambled eggs or organic tofu Florentine, fresh guacamole, corn, crispy wholegrain tortillas, organic mixed greens, red salsa, and Monterey Jack cheese

Brunch Burrito (V) $10
Whole-wheat tortilla filled with organic tofu Florentine, housemade seitan sausage, red and green bell pepper, vegan cilantro sour cream, and chipotle salsa ranchera, over mixed greens with guacamole and salsa

Tofu Benedictine (V) $10
A twist on the classic Eggs Benedict: scratch-made biscuit, grilled organic tofu, grilled tomato, sautéed spinach, and housemade seitan sausage over grits with herb oil and béarnaise

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich $8
Housemade seitan sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, melted Swiss cheese, and local Lusty Monk mustard on multigrain toast. Add lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions, $1

Free Range 3-Egg Omelets $10
All served with rosemary Yukon potatoes, scratch-made biscuit, and housemade seitan sausage

Avocado Tomato & Bacon (GF option) Jalapeño-garlic butter, avocado, herb-marinated tomatoes, shiitake bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, and housemade salsa

Greek (GF option) Sun dried tomato-basil butter, sautéed artichokes, roasted red peppers, red onions, fresh basil, mixed house-marinated olives, feta cheese, and Roma tomato

Cremini Mushroom (GF option) Dill-leek butter, sautéed cremini mushrooms, red peppers, red onions, and herbed goat cheese

Grilled Vegetable (GF option) Jalapeño-garlic butter, sautéed leeks, grilled asparagus, tomatoes, and baby Swiss
